Freda Kinnarney is the New Irish Show Association President

Freda Kinnarney former Tullamore Show Secretary was elected as the New ISA President, which took place in the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh.

Freda has had a varied and interesting life with Strong agricultural tones throughout. She grew up on a farm in Clonlara, Co Clare. Her working like started with the Department of Agriculture in the Poultry Pathology area. She completed her years with the dept in Ballyhaise Agricultural College in Co Cavan. Freda moved to Co Offaly in 1977 were she married a dairy farmer and retired from the department when her family started to grow.

In later years she is returned to the workforce working in marketing and merchandising roles for various companies. In 1992 Freda began her involvement in Tullamore Show when she volunteered in the cookery section, she went on to be assistant in other areas such assistant secretary and sponsors co Ordinator before taking the event secretary title in 1997.

Freda has a strong interest in gardening and take proud in her beautiful garden and in particular her outstanding display of red geraniums

Freda will complete a two-year role as President and is looking forward to traveling the length and breadth of the country to attend as many shows as possible. We wish Freda all the best in role as ISA President.
