Ireland's Premier Show & Country Lifestyle Event
The Tullamore show and the AIB National Livestock show was a great success on Sunday 10th August despite a number of showers.
There were around 50,000 people in attendance which was only a couple of thousand less than last year’s attendance.
The Chairman Rodney Cox expressed his gratitude to all the people that helped to make the show such a tremendous success.
There were national and international visitors and the show was opened by the Mr. Simon Coveney, Minister for Agriculture, Food, Marine and Defence Minister.
Minister Coveney attended the very successful forum on Saturday night which was chaired by Mairead McGuiness MEP and had full capacity.
Among the many attractions at Tullamore Show were Neven Maguire’s cookery demonstration, the major event of the show was the AIB National Livestock Gold Medal Championships which again attracted huge entries.
All the marquees, exhibits and hundreds of events and competitions were very successful.
Despite the enormous crowds the car parks worked extremely well and the new livestock layout was hailed as been a great success.
The Chairman of Tullamore Show Rodney Cox wishes to congratulate all the major competition winners and again expresses sincere thanks to everyone involved in the show for their help and cooperation especially to the volunteers, neighbours, exhibitors and the spectators with a special thanks to the wonderful sponsors of the show and to the Gardai who did a great job and the roads, he would like to thank everyone involved for making the 2014 Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock show so successful.
